Devin's Belated 11th Birthday Celebration w/buds

We were finally able to have a belated birthday party for Devin with his buddies. Devin was very happy celebrating with friends. We first headed to the Folsom Aquatic Center for some fun in the sun. The boys played on the inflatable obstacle course the entire time! We then went home to eat Pizza and Sundaes (the boys had worked up a huge appetite). They then played football on the golf course. I was excited that the boys allowed me (Devin's mom) to play football too. I had 2 passes thrown to me but I missed them both gosh darn it! We then played flashlight hide-and-seek. All 10 boys settled down with a movie and were in bed sleeping by 12:30...can you believe that! Thanks to Devin's friends for making the event memorable!

Hawaii Vacation 2009

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. I've captured a few of our memories in the below video.

Commotion at theTalent Show

The kids were both in the school Talent Show. Sage did an adorable Latin dance with her friends. Devin did a hilarious Rock Band impersonation with his buddies. For a special effect, a fog machine was used for his act. Little did we realize that a fog machine would trigger the school smoke alarm that causes emergency steel partitions to close on stage. Play the video for a great laugh. The sound is a little soft during the actual performance, so you'll need to have your listening ears turned up.

Devin's Poem

Devin has become quite the creative writer with all of the writing he had to do in 5th grade. This was a poem he brought home at the end of the school year. It is so touching and deep...it made Andrew and I tear with happiness.

Girls' get Togethers

It's so fun getting together with the girls. The Gammie girls got together recently while Tanya was in town from Arkansas. We miss you Tanya and look so forward to your visits. Best wishes Andrea on the birth of Lila Belle and the move to Texas. I'm sure it will be only a couple of days until we see that new baby girl! A few of us had a girl's weekend retreat at Cid's awesome cabin in Arnold. Here's a picture from our little nature hike just before Nicki got attacked by HUGE red ants!
