Devin's Poem

Devin has become quite the creative writer with all of the writing he had to do in 5th grade. This was a poem he brought home at the end of the school year. It is so touching and deep...it made Andrew and I tear with happiness.

I Am

I am a brother and a son

I wonder about life

I hear my mother and father cheering

I see me being a professional athlete

I am a brother and a son

I pretend to like something when I don't

I feel the high fives of fans in the football stadium

I touch pearls in Hawaii

I cry when bad things appear in my mind

I am a brother and a son

I understand life is not fair

I say amen after every prayer

I dream about Heaven

I try to do my best in everything

I hope I will have a great life

Girls' get Togethers

It's so fun getting together with the girls. The Gammie girls got together recently while Tanya was in town from Arkansas. We miss you Tanya and look so forward to your visits. Best wishes Andrea on the birth of Lila Belle and the move to Texas. I'm sure it will be only a couple of days until we see that new baby girl! A few of us had a girl's weekend retreat at Cid's awesome cabin in Arnold. Here's a picture from our little nature hike just before Nicki got attacked by HUGE red ants!

Mother's Day

Thanks to my family for the wonderful Mother's day. You made it very special.

Jade's 3rd Birthday

Jade's actual birthday on May 16. She was excited to open her presents and put up 3 fingers.

Jade celebrated her 3rd birthday with a Puppy theme party. Her friends were dressed as little puppies and played puppy games. The kids' lunch was served in little dog bowls. Jade was excited to give her party favors to her friends...each friend received a little stuffed puppy in a basket with a blanky and an adoption certificate (each puppy had a different name). Thanks to all who celebrated with us. Jade lover her party!
